The trailer for Zulu Oyibo’s directorial debut The Betrayed has just been released with the film set to start screening in cinemas nationwide from August 2nd. 

Zulu Oyibo, a renowned producer for Inkblot, sits in the director’s chair for the first time in her career; assembling a talented cast including; Uche Montana, Gabriel Afolayan, and Ibrahim Suleiman. The lineup also includes Adunni Ade, Jemima Osunde, Vine Olugu, and Stephanie Zibili to help bring the script, written by Chinaza Onuzo and Tosan Ayanfulu, to life. 

The film promises an unforgettable cinematic experience as it explores the consequences of betrayal and succumbing to one’s darkest desires. 

Filming of the suspense-packed movie began in February 2024 around critical locations in Lagos. According to the producers, the ramp-up to the release of the movie in cinemas nationwide will come with different activities to sensitize society to the key messages within the film.
