Blood Sisters (Season 2) – June 5
The Netflix original series Blood Sisters is returning with season two. The hit thriller series returns with even more secrets, betrayals, and dangerous family drama. In this new season, Sarah and Kemi find themselves facing new enemies, deeper conspiracies, and emotional consequences that threaten to destroy everything.
The film stars an A-list cast, including Ini Dima-Okojie, Nancy Isime, Kate Henshaw, Uche Jombo, Kehinde Bankole, Genoveva Umeh, Bolaji Ogunmola and Anita Asuoha (Real Warri Pikin).
The Film will premiere on Netflix June 5, 2026.
My Father’s Shadow – June 5
Set during the 1993 Nigerian election crisis, My Father’s Shadow follows two young brothers navigating Lagos with their estranged father while political unrest unfolds around them.
My Father’s Shadow, produced by Akinola Davies Jr., has an ensemble cast that includes Sope Dirisu, Olarotimi Fakunle, Martha Ehinome Orhiere, and Patrick Diabuah.
The film has received several international awards and is coming to Nigeria cinema June 5 ahead of June 12 democracy celebration.
Kalakiri: The Price of Freedom – June 12
Chika C. Onu’s Kalakiri: The Price of Freedom tells the story of a pro-democracy activist who disappears ahead of a presidential nomination and is later revealed to have been detained at a remote island prison called Kalakiri.
Produced by Emeka Adibe and Henry Chinweuba, the movie stars Nancy Isime, Charles Okocha, Segun Arinze, Caleb Richard, and Aisha Mohammed.
Kalakiri: The Price of Freedom, an emotional drama that promises a powerful story about sacrifice, survival, and the true cost of freedom, is coming to cinemas nationwide on June 12, 2026.
On Different Grounds – June 12
On Different Grounds is a romantic comedy produced by Nicolette Ndigwe-Kalu, which blends African and Indian storytelling. It tells the story of divorced billionaire couples who are forced to reunite for their eldest daughter’s wedding, unaware that she has a secret plan of her own.
This Movie is an upcoming relationship drama where Love, ambition, and class differences collide. The cast of this film includes Uche Jombo, Jennifer Eliogu, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Nkem Owoh, Uche Montana, Ebele Okara, Vineet Raina, and Mbadiwe Twins.
This Nollywood-Bollywood collaboration directed by Mildred Okwo and is set to be released in June 12, 2026.
Iwe Ala (An Ojude-Oba Story) – June 12
The Film follows the story of a family that faces challenges but finds strength in unity and tradition. it is a blend of family comedy, drama, celebrating the spirit of the Ojude Oba Festival and the resilience of family.
Directed by Adeoluwa Owu and features a cast that includes Mercy Aigbe, Owobo Ogunde, Eniola Ajao, Tobi Makinde, Demola Adedoyin and Farooq Oreagba.
Iwe Ala: An Ojude Oba Story is coming to Cinemas June 12.
Blood Debt – June 19
Revenge and betrayal take centre stage in Chukwuka Ndife’s Blood Debt, a thriller expected to deliver suspense, emotional conflict, and shocking twists. If you are a fan of crime dramas and dark family secrets, Blood Debt should be added to your list.
The film features a powerful blend of Nollywood veterans and rising stars which includes Uzoamaka Power, Jide Kene Achufusi, Tony Umez, Ebele Okaro, John Okham, and Segun Arinze.
Blood Debt will premiere in cinemas Nationwide on June 19,2026.
Remi & Nneoma – June 26
Remi & Nneoma is a Nigerian drama that explores the themes of loyalty, grief, love, and emotional healing. The story revolves around the emotional journey of two women, Nneoma and her daughter-in-law, Remi, who remain together after a shared loss. The film draws its inspiration from the biblical story of Ruth and Naomi.
The Cast used to tell the story in Remi & Nneoma includes Bisola Aiyeola, Liz Benson, Tina Mba, Eucharia Anunobi, Uche Montana, Kunle Coker, and Buchi Franklin.
Remi & Nneoma will premiere in cinemas nationwide from June 26
The Night of June 7th – June
Directed by Toka McBaror and produced by Linda Ikeji, the Night of June 7th dramatizes the Apo Six Killings of June 7, 2005, when six traders were brutally murdered by policemen in Abuja. A tragedy that exposed deep issues of police corruption and impunity in Nigeria.
It stars Femi Branch, Ali Nuhu, Gideon Okeke, and Charles Lenny.
There is no exact date for the release of the movie, but The Night of June 7th is scheduled to be released this June.
