
Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution has announced the upcoming theatrical release of Invitation to Kill. Chuks Obaze’s new Nollywood title, Invitation to Kill, is a suspense-driven thriller and family drama set to premiere in September. Produced by Big Tiger Production, the film promises a deeply emotional narrative combined with gripping suspense and is expected to premiere in cinemas across Nigeria and Ghana.
Invitation to Kill explores profound themes such as loss, betrayal, resilience, and the severe consequences of unresolved pain. According to Miss Iyasara’s Instagram post, the narrative centers on a devoted father and agro-businessman named Julian, portrayed by the acclaimed actor Kalu Ikeagwu. Julian’s carefully constructed life is unexpectedly thrown into absolute turmoil following a series of tragic events. First, his primary source of livelihood, and then his marriage fell apart, leaving him to navigate financial ruin and deep emotional trauma.
Forced to confront his painful reality of starting a new life entirely from scratch, while remaining a steadfast, devoted father to his young daughter. The story captures his intense vulnerability while gradually revealing the profound strength and determination that emerges from his suffering.
Directed by Chuks Obaze, the film boasts a talented ensemble cast, which includes Kalu Ikeagwu, Greg Ojefua, Omo Iyasara, Tonia Chukwurah, Annabel Thaddeus, and Efua Bona. Co-written by Akin Smith and Austin Kings, Invitation to Kill will be distributed by Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution.
Invitation to Kill will be in cinemas across Nigeria and Ghana from Friday, September 11, 2026.
