Nearly seven years since its trailer drop Toka McBaror‘s The Takers is now streaming on Prime Video.
Produced by Evolution Studio 66, The Takers follows a deep tribal and family conflict where an army of farmers goes to war to end a long-standing period of tyranny and dominance. Set in the north, the plot of The Takers centers on a vicious conflict over power, identity, and liberation.
Written by Chloe Coko and Toka McBaror, the film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Josephine Sunday, Doenn Otse Chia, Tiga George Francis Gandah, Kwazu, Gabriel Akhuetie, and Kiyan To. Behind the scenes, the production brings together key technical talents, including sound design by Henry Seth, music by Orfega Bezaleel Uzuwa, and costume design directly managed by Evolution Studio 66.
