Son of the Soil (2025) – March 1

The narrative is a blend of supernatural politics and familial devotion, making it a compelling watch for Nollywood fans and lovers of spiritual drama.

Mother’s Love (2026) – March 6
A young woman from a wealthy family, has her life shattered by her father’s controlling grip. Finally allowed to experience freedom through the NYSC program, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery, befriending a young man from a humble background who challenges her perspectives.
The cast includes Noray Nehita, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Oluwatosin Olumide Oworu, and Lilian Afegbai.
Mother’s Love is set to premiere on March 6, 2026, in Cinemas Nationwide.
Kilanko: The Invincible Child (2026) – March 6
Produced by Rotimi Salami and directed by Allwell Ademola before her passing. The film revolves around the Yoruba abiku mythology, focusing on the story of a child born to a dying mother. The narrative delves into the secrets, pain, and unraveling mysteries surrounding these spirit children. The movie highlights the impact of their existence on the family and community.
The film stars Rotimi Salami, Allwell Ademola, Ibrahim Chatta, Tina Mba, Afeez Abiodun, and Tokunbo Malvin, among others.
Kilanko: The Invisible Child will be in cinemas March 6th.
Onobiren: A Woman’s Story (2026) – March 6
Follow Roli’s journey from Warri to Lagos when what begins as a familiar narrative quickly transforms when she chooses a different path, one driven by purpose, survival, and self-discovery; powered by fishing roots and the magic that happens when women support women.
The film stars; Patience Ozokwor, Deyemi Okanlawon, Bisola Aiyeola, Norbert Young, Chude Jideonwo, Desmond Bryce, Ruby Akubueze, and Temitope Tampe Aje, among others.
Onobiren: A Woman’s Story is scheduled to hit cinemas across Nigeria and Ghana from the 6th of March 2026.
Headless (2026) – March 13
The Film directed and written by Michael W. Ndiomu, follows a morally ambiguous Nollywood film producer who is discovered with a decapitated human head in the boot of his car. The investigation that follows exposes dark intersections between politics, crime, and the film industry.
The film stars Gideon Okeke who plays the lead role, Uzoamaka Aniunoh, Baaj Adebule, Ruby Okezie, Iremide Adeoye, Femi Branch, and Segun Arinze among others.
Headless movie set to be released nationwide in theatres across Nigeria on March 13th.
Irete: The Reckoning (2026) – March 20th
Directed by Segun Ogungbe, this film explores the bonds of shattered vows and the allure of forbidden desires. The plot revolves around a sacred oath that is betrayed, leading to dire consequences for the characters involved.
The movie has a stellar cast of Nollywood actors which includes; Deyemi Okanlawon, Femi Adebayo, Odunlade Adekola, Wumi Toriola, Sola Sobowale, Fathia Williams Balogun, Dele Odule, and Broda Shaggi.
Irete: The Reckoning is set to be released in cinemas starting from March 20, 2026.
Aba Blues (2026) – March 20th
This is a Nigerian drama set in the commercial heartbeat of Abia State, focusing on the lives of individuals navigating complex relationships and the challenges they face. The story follows a woman as she confronts her former boyfriend’s return and the psychological effects of love. It explores the theme of love, loss, ambition, and emotional resilience.
The Lead roles are played by Angel Anosike, Prince Nelson Enwerem, and Jide Kene Achufusi with a dynamic supporting ensemble.
Aba Blues will arrive in cinemas nationwide across Nigeria from March 20th.
Eleko: Oba Esugbayi (2026) – March 20th
Produced by Jide Kosoko Film Presentation and aims to tell the story and life of Oba Esugbayi Eleko, the Eleko of Lagos. The film tells how Oba Esugbayi Eleko fought to protect the cultural dignity and freedom of Lagos under the colonial British Rule. The Film Portrays not just the story of a man but also the heart and soul of a people fighting for not just their identity but also for the identities of future generations to come.
The movie features a mix of seasoned actors and emerging talents, including Femi Branch, Yemi Solade, Yinka Quadri, Hassan Taiwo, Bidemi Kosoko, Sola Kosoko Abina, Jumoke Odetola, Yomi Fash Lanso, among others.
Eleko: Oba Esugbayi is set to premiere nationwide on March 20, 2026.
Evi (2026) – March 27th
A famous singer loses everything when her label drops her without pay. With help from her friend and manager, she struggles to rebuild her career and find herself again. Watch as this movie unfolds Directed by Uyoyou Adia.
