
Nollywood actor/director, Allison Precious Emmanuel (The Boy Who Gave ) has created,a new series, titled Gangs of Port Harcourt. The new drama series will explore themes such as brotherhood, sacrifice, betrayal, and violence through the story of two brothers.
Written by Allison Precious Emmanuel, the new series is expected to provide an authentic portrayal of life in Port Harcourt, where it is set, while focusing on the difficult choices that young people must make in times of hardship.
The story of Gangs of Port Harcourt follows Ida, a teenage boy whose life changes dramatically after circumstances force him to become the sole provider for his siblings. Ida had to face responsibilities and navigate the pressures of adulthood far beyond his age. In this new series, Allison Precious Emmanuel will continue his passion for telling stories centred on resilience and everyday struggles.
Gangs of Port Harcourt is a 13-episode series produced under Allison’s MX14 production label. The show will feature multiple gangs in Port Harcourt, using the city not just as a backdrop but as an integral part of the narrative. It will incorporate the local culture, language, and the everyday experiences of the people in Port Harcourt, making the city the heart of the story and ensuring the narrative itself is relatable and authentic.
