
The sisters are back! Netflix has confirmed the release of Blood Sisters season 2. The movie, a sequel to Netflix’s first original series, Blood Sisters, will premiere globally in June, exclusively on their streaming platform.
Season 1 of Blood Sisters, produced by EbonyLife Studios in partnership with Netflix, was released on May 5, 2022. Since its debut, Blood Sisters has been cited as one of Netflix’s most‑watched African originals and a key title in raising Nollywood’s profile on global streaming platforms.
Returning casts for this new season include Ini Dima‑Okojie, Nancy Isime, Kehinde Bankole, Kate Henshaw, Gabriel Afolayan, and Daniel Etim Effiong. New additions to the ensemble expand the series’ roster and narrative possibilities.
Season 2 will continue the crime‑thriller narrative and action that made the first season a streaming success, deepening the drama around power, social status, betrayal, and survival. Netflix has released teaser visuals and promotional materials ahead of the worldwide launch.
