Executively produced by some of Nollywood’s leading star actresses, Gingerrr is set to continue its theatrical journey with screenings across the United Kingdom.

According to Cinemax, the film’s official distributor, Gingerrr will screen at Odeon Cinemas in Greenwich, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Braehead, Coventry, and Streatham. It will also show at Vue Cinemas in Croydon Grants, Nottingham, Shepherd’s Bush, Thurrock, Westfield Stratford, Dagenham, Leeds Light, and Watford. Screenings are scheduled to commence on October 31, 2025.

With this move, Gingerrr joins the ranks of other successful Nollywood titles such as Malaika (2023), Ada Omo Daddy (2023), A Tribe Called Judah (2023), and Everybody Loves Jenifa (2024), which have all enjoyed screenings across select UK cinemas.

At the Nigerian box office, the film has continued to post impressive figures and set new benchmarks. It debuted with a remarkable ₦79,154,225, earning the number seven spot on the list of highest-grossing opening weekends for Nollywood films. It also held the top position as the highest-grossing film for four consecutive weekends.

Now in its fifth week of a projected twelve-week cinema run, Gingerrr has grossed over ₦322,700,000, securing the 13th position on the all-time chart of highest-grossing Nigerian films — and steadily advancing toward the coveted top 10.

Directed by Yemi “Filmboy” Morafa, the story follows a childhood gang known as ‘Gingerrr,’ with the spotlight on Lala Goldy’s life. Set as a mystery-comedy-drama set in Lagos, the narrative traces Lala’s journey as her world becomes entangled in both supernatural and criminal chaos following the deaths of her father and mother.

The feature has an ensemble cast that combines established Nollywood heavyweights with rising stars. Alongside the four lead actors, the film stars Shaffy Bello, Odunlade Adekola, Adedimeji Lateef, Timini Egbuson, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Shammah Agah, Adebowale Adedayo, Kamo, and Emeka Okoye. The star power helped draw audiences in droves, contributing significantly to its record-breaking performance.
