A groundbreaking virtual cinema platform, Circuits, is set to launch globally on December 20, 2024. The service promises to revolutionize how audiences experience African storytelling, offering a premium selection of films and series that showcase the depth and diversity of the continent’s creative talent.
According to Chioma Onyenwe, Vice President of Content at Circuits, the platform is “more than a platform. It’s a movement to empower African creatives to tell uniquely African stories globally.” Circuits offer a transactional video-on-demand model, where viewers can rent films for 24 hours, providing flexibility and affordability.

Seven Doors (Series): Directed by Femi Adebayo, this Netflix hit will be available on Circuits from December 20. Set in the late 1960s and early 1970s, the series explores resilience and determination and has been praised for its thematic depth.
Asiri Ade: Directed by Adeoluwa Owu (aka Captain Degzy), this epic romance thriller explores follows a powerful king, on the verge of forming a marriage alliance with a rich kingdom, searches for an unknown assailant, who is about to expose a dark secret that can bring his massive empire to its knees. It stars Bolanle Ninolowo, Omowunmi Dada, Gabriel Afolayan, and Akin Lewis and promises breathtaking visuals and a compelling narrative.
Conversations in Transit: Produced by Native Media Ltd, this innovative drama is set on a moving train and explores love’s power to heal and forgive. Directed by Rogers Ofime, the cast includes Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Osas Ighodalo, Alex Ekubo, Rahama Sadau, and Tana Adelana.
Blacksmith (Alagbede): Directed by Usman Ogunlade and set in post-independence Nigeria, this drama follows Adio (Femi Adebayo) and his journey to overcome poverty. Supported by his friend Wole (Gabriel Afolayan), Adio’s love for Omolewa (Kehinde Bankole) drives him to dangerous money rituals, scarring his relationships.
