
Yoruba epics are back at the cinemas, and this time it’s one with so much vim and grit. Produced by Odunlade Adekola Film Production (OAFP) and FilmOne Studios, Warlord: Olori Ogun earned ₦47 million at its opening week.
For FilmOne Entertainment, this collaboration further champions indigenous storytelling. War Lord: Olori Ogun is directed by Adebayo Tijani, Abe Lanre, Tope Adebayo, and Odunlade Adekola.Set in the heart of Yoruba tradition, Warlord: Olori Ogun tells the story of a fearless warrior navigating complex family dynamics while protecting his community and preserving his heritage. The film combines historical drama with rich cultural storytelling to deliver an immersive cinematic experience.
The star-studded cast list includes: Femi Adebayo Salami, Ibrahim Chatta, Toyin Abraham, Muyiwa Ademola, Eniola Ajao, and Fathia Balogun.
Odunlade Adekola, who serves as both producer and lead actor also shared his excitement as regards the project and also a hint of what the audience can expect. In his words, “Fans should expect something powerful and exceptional. Warlord: Olori Ogun is a strong story, and I am proud of what we created,”.
Warlord: Olori Ogun continues to screen across cinemas nationwide, following the debut on Friday, November 28th.
