Mo Abudu has released the teaser for Baby Farm, a new limited series from EbonyLife Studios, set to premiere on Netflix on 21 March. Announcing the project today on Instagram, Abudu described Baby Farm as a “twisted thriller” that raises questions about how far people are willing to go to have a child.
The series features a diverse cast, including Rita Dominic, Jenny Stead, Langley Kirkwood, Onyinye Odokoro, Genoveva Umeh, Joseph Benjamin, Ruby Akubueze, Folu Storms, Kiki Omeili, Tope Tedela, Osereme Inegbenebor, Adeola Awodein, Iveren Antiev, Maggie Osuome, Uzoamaka Onuoha, and Celia Okechukwu.
The story idea comes from Mo Abudu, Heidi Uys, and Darrel Bristow-Bovey, with Abudu as the executive producer. Darrel Bristow-Bovey also wrote the script, while Walt Banger (Juju Stories) and Kayode Kasum directed the series. Other key crew members include costume designer Yolanda Okereke (Blood Sisters), production designer Jacob Gadibia, and director of photography Malcolm McLean (Queen Sono). Kaline Akinkugbe (Breath of Life) composed the music score.
Mo Abudu has continued to expand EbonyLife Studios’ reach with recent projects like Òlòtūré: The Journey and A Sunday Affair. With Baby Farm, she teases another suspenseful story that, according to her, will keep viewers on edge.
