Movie lovers can expect a fresh romantic drama titled Dara as it heads for the big screen. The feature delivers a love story unlike anything audiences have seen before.

Starring veteran actress Tina Mba, rising star Tomi Ojo, Riyo David, and Raymond Umenze, the film offers a deeply emotional and culturally grounded story that highlights love in the vibrant oil city of Port Harcourt. Rising filmmaker Emmanuel Edi produces Dara and also plays a role in the film.

Director Bobby Rak explores themes of romance and second chances in a setting rarely portrayed in Nigerian cinema. With its mix of local flavour and universal appeal, the story challenges the typical love narratives often shown on screen.

Blue Pictures handles distribution and will premiere Dara in cinemas nationwide on September 5, 2025.
