First-time cinematic producer Jasper Aziegbemhin is set to release a chilling tale of fate and family as Idia. The feature is tagged as an Edo mythological thriller. Directed by Ese Ariremuu and J Blaze, the film explores the haunting question: What are you willing to sacrifice to achieve your greatest desire? Idia a naive orphan gets adopted by a strange family as their housekeeper, but must help their lineage continue at the expense of her sanity.

Aziegbemhin is no stranger to the horror genre, having previously produced Widow’s Mite and Children of the Night. However, Idia marks his first cinematic release, setting the stage for a wider audience to engage with his storytelling.

Blending suspense with supernatural undertones, Idia features a star-studded cast including Gbubemi Ejeye, Linda Osifo, Tope Tedela, Mercy Aigbe, J Blaze, Adeola Awodein, Lancelot Imasuen, and Ichie Fuego.

The film’s cinematography is handled by Courage Obayuwana, a product of the First Features Project and director of Kill Boro, bringing his distinctive visual style to the project.

The film will be distributed by Silverbird Film Distribution and will commence screening across cinemas nationwide on October 24, 2025.
