With a steady wave of Nigerian films leaving Netflix, Circuits TV has stepped in to fill the gap, announcing today that it will now host a substantial slate of Nollywood titles, many of which are either leaving Netflix this July, August or have already been removed.
As the Nigerian streaming space begins to realign, viewers looking to catch their favourite Nollywood titles before they disappear from one platform or reappear on another have more reason than ever to stay plugged in.
What’s Coming to Circuits TV
The newly announced additions include Sylvia, New Money, Gold Statue, Power of 1, A Trip to Jamaica, 10 Days in Sun City, The Accidental Spy, My Wife and I, Tatu, Celebrity Marriage, Benevolence, Zero Hour, The Arbitration, and Wives on Strike. Also joining the platform are Banana Island Ghost, Moms at War, June, Mama Drama, Shadow Parties, Slow Country, Taxi Driver: Oko Ashewo, The Call, Three Thieves, Sergeant Tutu, Who’s the Boss, and Couple of Days.
Several titles that have either recently left Netflix or are scheduled to do so are now confirmed to be on Circuits TV. These include Quam’s Money (which exited Netflix on August 5, 2023), The Wedding Party (Part 1 was already unavailable on Netflix, while The Wedding Party 2: Destination Dubai is leaving on August 11), Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons (leaving August 1), Merry Men 2: Another Mission (leaving August 8), The Ghost and the Tout (leaving July 31), The Ghost and the Tout Too (leaving July 24), Elevator Baby (leaving August 7), Love is War (leaving August 4), The Set Up (leaving August 3), Nimbe (leaving August 7), Coming from Insanity (leaving August 9), and Up North (leaving August 6).
There are also a number of titles still available on Netflix but now accessible on both platforms, including The Delivery Boy, Black Rose, Seven and a Half Dates, and Hire a Woman.
