All is Fair in Love is the Highest-Grossing Nigerian Movie of Q1 2024

“All is Fair in Love” was the top movie of February and the year so far.


All is Fair in Love” has emerged as the highest-grossing movie of the first quarter of 2024 and the year so far. This movie also marks the directorial debut of actor Deyemi Okanlawon.


The star-studded movie had a renowned cast, including Deyemi Okanlawon, Timini Egbuson, Buhle Samuels, Juliet Ibrahim, and veterans like Ireti Doyle.


The film follows Deji (Deyemi) and Kola (Timini), two friends and business partners who find themselves entangled in a love triangle with the same woman, Mbali (Buhle Samuels). However, a shocking twist reveals her true intentions, as she is a con artist scheming to swindle them of their business.


Since its release, “All Fair in Love” has garnered significant financial success, surpassing other competing titles like “Meeting Funmi’s Parents” and “Silent Intruder.” Additionally, the film boasts an impressive ₦100million at the box office, solidifying its position as the top-grossing movie of the year so far.

According to the Cinema Exhibitors Association, it secured the number two spot since its release.

The second highest-grossing Nollywood movie for the first quarter is Pere Egbi’s “The Silent Intruder” grossing ₦50.5 million.

The third is “Meeting Funmi‘s Parents” It raked in a good ₦31.5 million in 28 days since its release in February.


This success cements “All is Fair in Love” as a crowd-pleaser and Deyemi as a major player in the Nigerian film industry.
