Comedian Basketmouth, known by his stage name Bright Okpocha, is stepping behind the camera for his first feature film, “A Ghetto Love Story,” scheduled for release later this year.

The film, A Ghetto Love Story, is a collaborative effort between Basketmouth and co-writer Victoria Eze. The film aims to celebrate the resilience and resourcefulness of communities often pushed to the margins. With a realistic touch, the story explores themes of socioeconomic disparities and societal biases while diving into the complex nature of human connection through a blooming love.

Directed by Daniel Oriahi, “A Ghetto Love Story” boasts a star-studded lineup, including Akah Nnani, Beverly Osu, Wale Ojo, Patience Ozokwor, Nkem Owoh, Mercy Johnson Okojie, Bright Okpocha, Daniel Etim Effiong, Genoveva Umeh, Dorathy Bachor, Bethel Njoku, Vandora, Ehiz Dadaboy, and Romeo WJ.

The film is set to hit the screens in late November 22, 2024, with distribution handled by FilmOne.
