Cinephiles, film lovers, enthusiasts, and moviegoers are in for a treat this Saturday! To celebrate Nigeria Cinema Day on September 21, 2024, Nigerian cinemas will slash ticket prices to just N1,000. Thanks to the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), this massive price drop, down from the usual N4,000 is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy your favourite films on the big screen without breaking the bank.

CEAN’s National Chairman, Ope Ajayi, shared that the initiative is a way to thank Nigerian audiences for their continued support while reviving a stronger cinema-going culture. With affordable tickets, more people can gather to experience the magic of the movies, something that’s often missed in the hustle of daily life.

Last year’s National Cinema Day drew over 21,500 eager moviegoers, and this year promises to be even bigger.

In celebration of Nigeria Cinema Day on September 21, 2024, movie lovers can catch some of the top films. Films currently available include Ajaga (The Yoke), the football drama When Love Strikes, the exciting thriller The Weekend, and the romantic comedy American Japa, all running strong in cinemas. With such a wide variety of genres and stories, this is the perfect time to visit the cinemas and experience the magic of Nollywood on the big screen!

Get ready for a fun-filled day at the movies this weekend and make sure to grab those N1,000 tickets!
