The trailer for a new political thriller; 77 The Festac Conspiracy has just been realesd. The film is written by Olisa Eloka and directed by Izu Chukwu. It is set against the Second World African Festival of Arts and Culture (FESTAC) of 1977. The memorable event in Nigerian history lasted a month from January 15 – February 12, 1977, in Lagos, Nigeria. A sequel to 76; a political thriller that is based on the unsuccessful military coup and the assassination of Gen. Murtala Mohammed in 1976.
Two days before the commencement of the Second World African Festival of Arts and Culture (FESTAC) of 1977, an aggrieved ex-serviceman is invited to be part of a cause out to upset the political order of the continent.
