Peter Sedufia’s One Night Guest, which began in 2022, has officially wrapped up production. The film, written and directed by Peter Sedufia and produced by Chris Odeh, is set for a Christmas Day release.
The project is a collaboration between OldFilm Productions (Ghana), Sozo Films (Nigeria), and Gravel Road Studios (South Africa), featuring an impressive cast including Yvonne Okoro, Majid Michel, Warri Pikin, Roselyn Ngissah, Ini Edo, Chidi Mokeme, James Gardiner, Lasisi Elenu, and Akah Nani.
Peter Sedufia is an acclaimed filmmaker known for his versatility in directing both short and feature-length films. He holds a BFA in film directing and a diploma in business management. With a creative writing background, Peter’s films, including Keteke (2017) and Sidechic Gang (2018), have garnered various awards such as FESPACO. His notable works also include the comedy series Master and 3 Maids (2016–2017), Away Bus (2019), and Alovera (2020).
The collaboration between Ghana and Nigeria highlights the strengthening of cultural ties between the two nations. Both countries are powerhouses in African cinema, and their joint ventures help elevate the continent’s global representation in film. By bringing together talents like Chidi Mokeme, Majid Michel, and Ini Edo, the film showcases how African filmmakers are uniting across borders to create powerful narratives that resonate widely. This cooperation enhances storytelling while fostering mutual growth in West African cinema.
One Night Guest will be released by 2024 Christmas making it another December contender audiences can look out for.
